Hello there awesome people. Now, I have been writing some posts but let me take the time to actually talk about myself.
My name is Mario Rojas. No middle name cause I'm gangster like that (just kidding I'm not a real gangster). Anyways, I was born in Habana, Cuba on January 19, 1998. I came to America when I was 4/5 years old. I am currently 13 if you don't want to do the math.
I started learning eniglish by letting my cousin read to me. She would read simple stories. I guess that's what caused my love for writing. As for drawing, I've been drawing all my life. Ever since I was a little kid in Cuba. I got it from my dad. (Smiley face)
My elementary school was Miramar Elementary. I currently go to Pines Middle. I'm going to Miramar High for high school. Hopefully.
The reason I started this blog was for a project for my language arts class. But I want to actually use this blog for personal use. Even though I know only about 1 person (myself) would actually read it.
Well this is our farewell fellow reader. Gracias por venir.
Ciao!

Really People :(
Well hello there amazing people. If you are reading this, then you are most likely not dead. Apparently yesterday, May 21st, was supposed to be the end of the world. In my opinion, this was just a dumb act of human beings. If you honestly believed a man who, if I'm correct, said that the world was going to end in 1994 and got it wrong, then you are a moron. Seriously, some people even went far enough to sell their stuff.

Dragon (short story)
A little boy no more than 7 years old loved his pet dragon. But whenever he got close to his dragon, the dragon would roar and breath out fire.
But if you really knew the dragon, you would see that he was just scared but truely loved his owner.
When the little boy's friends went over to his house and see the 6 inch dragon, they would run out screaming because the dragon would roar at them and breath fire. Then the dragon would fly towards a hole he made in the wall and cry. He would think all day about how scared and nervous he gets around humans.
The little boy noticed the dragons behavior and spent more time with him. The boy would feed it more, sleep with it, and have fun with the dragon.
As time passed the dragon got used to humans didn't scare them anymore. Instead, the dragon would fly around them and do tricks.

Fire // Life
Life is like fire.
It uncontrollably dies,
but shines brightly and,
loves the feeling of being alive.
Fire, like life, help others.
Fire warms people,
but it can also burn them.
Fire is like life,
always moving forward,
and spreading.
Love, live, and enjoy your fire.
It uncontrollably dies,
but shines brightly and,
loves the feeling of being alive.
Fire, like life, help others.
Fire warms people,
but it can also burn them.
Fire is like life,

Love, live, and enjoy your fire.
The teddy bear (short story)
Once upon a time, there was a little teddy bear who was owned by a mischievous little boy. The little teddy bear was tortured with all types of evil stuff. The teddy bear dreamed of running away to a magical land far away from it's owner. Every night, when the humans were sleeping, he would always wish to be able to run and walk and be alive. Those wishes and dreams were just that, dreams.
Then, one faithful night, Christmas eve, the teddy bear was thrown out on the street by it's owner. It was raining hard. The little innocent teddy bear started crying. His life seemed to be over. Suddenly, a little girl dressed in a fairy costume came up to the teddy bear and picked him up. "Your life has just begun." She whispered to the teddy's ear. When teddy looked up to her, she disappeared. The teddy then realized he could move his head. He was astounded by this find. He tried to move his arms, and they worked marvelously. Finally, with all his strength (and his beating heart) he moved his legs. This was it. His deams and wishes came true. He got up and started running towards a very bright beam of light at the end of the street. He thought it was the path to the magical place.
The light came closer and closer . At the last second, he realized it was a car. The teddy bear suddenly woke up. "No!" The teddy bear cried in his mind. He was sad but happy at the same time. He finally felt what it was like to be alive.

The first night (short story)
It was 3 in the morning when I woke up in the woods. There were red eyes in every tree and bush that surrounded me. Darkness surrounded every tiny crack so that I couldn't see past a mere 5 feet in front of me.
I stood up to realize that my clothes were torn and shredded as if an animal got a hold of me. I looked up from my torn clothes and found out that the eyes disappeared, but I still felt as if I wasn't alone.
Suddenly, without a warning, something hard hit me in the back of the head causing me to drop to my knees. I looked around and saw nothing.
I listened closely for any sound. I heard nothing, not even a snap of a twig or the leaves being thrown around in the light fall breeze. I stood up and continued looking around and listening.
Something terribly awful happened after I got up. I froze to the spot. My feet were stuck on the ground as if I had cinder blocks tied to both of them.
I felt something breathing on my shoulder. It could have been human, or not, but either way, I was scared. I then heard a low menacing growl. I felt the Earth shake to the rhythm of the breathing.
I was terrified to the core. I have no explanation of what it was. As I closed my eyes, knowing this would be my end, I started remembering how I got here. I started remembering the walk I had with my friend to the park. Then I remembered the sudden splintering headache that came out of nowhere. I endured this pain for a short amount of time until I finally passed out.
I was interrupted by a pain in my back and a sudden scream.
"Come on!" I faintly heard as I felt a set of hands picking me up.
I finally got up and started running behind my savior. Even though I was a little dizzy, I felt my feet running like never before.
While running, I took a hard look at this person. It was my friend!
He was in terrible shape. His clothes were more torn up then mine and he had blood running down his back. With him looking like this from the back, I'd hate to see him from the front.
He suddenly stopped and looked back. I slowed myself down and put my hands on my knees and started breathing heavily. It felt like we ran for ages.
I then noticed why he stopped. There was rushing water and rocks all over the bottom of the cliff. I could hear the water pounding heavily against the rocks.
"Where are you!" Exclaimed a malevolent voice. The trees started shaking as the birds fled in a hurry, screaming at the top of their lungs. The earth started to shake. I knew it was coming, but didn't want to believe it.
I could see trees falling down in the distance. I looked at him and he looked at me. We knew what had to be done.
As the falling of the trees came closer and closer, we steadied ourselfs at the end of the cliff.
"Nowhere to run this time!" The beast said as it started chuckling to itself. Its voice was at such a low tone it was hard to understand. The thing was about 9 feet tall and had spikes on its back and its arms. I couldn't help but notice the blood on its teeth.
My friend and I took one last look at each other. His face was torn up. He had a lot of cuts on his cheek and blood on his forehead. He also had one big mark on his arm that looked like something tried to bite him.
He nodded as he got closer and closer to the edge.
With all my strength, I said, "Let's go."
I closed my eyes as we jumped off the cliff with our backs against the water. The beast screamed in anger as he watched us fall. Then all I heard was a groan of pain from my friend, and the splashing of water.
